In the past, they have had to manually enter these reports into Cartegraph, consuming precious staff time.
Additionally, the Town looks to eventually expand the use of the connector for water well monitoring as well as playgrounds and parks inspections.
The name of this town is derived from the Spanish word "maraña," which means "thicket." It was so named because local railroad workers had to clear dense growths of mesquite so a railway line could be constructed in the 19th century. Marana was incorporated as a town in March of 1977. Along Marana's southwestern border, Saguaro National Park is home to one of the world's most extensive stands of giant saguaros. Also calling this beautiful park home is a variety of desert fauna, including coatimundi, mountain lions, and javelinas.
