Velosimo and Arlington Heights Boost Efficiency with Cityworks and Tyler Integrations

Velosimo is excited to announce our partnership with the Village of Arlington Heights, Illinois, to help the agency provide seamless, intuitive, and modern user experiences to support their Service Request submissions.

With various systems in place across different departments, the Village aims to achieve seamless integration between Tyler MyCivic and its Enterprise Service Request (ESR) System, Tyler Munis Utility Billing (UB), and Trimble Cityworks AMS.

As part of a competitive bid process led by consultant Plante Moran, the Village selected Velosimo, an integration platform as a service (iPaaS). Velosimo's connector will streamline and automate the workflow of submitted service requests through the Tyler MyCivic application.

The connector will create a service request in Cityworks AMS when initiated from Tyler 311. As updates are made and the status of the service request changes, the Tyler 311 system is updated so that the submitter can view and track the progress in real time. Upon completion of the service request, the final status and comment(s) will be sent back to the 311 system.

A work order will be created in the Tyler Munis Utility Billing system for a related task, such as a water turn off. It is then sent to Cityworks AMS, where a work order is created and assigned to a Village staff member. A work order ID is sent back to Tyler UB with status updates as the work is completed. The final status and comment(s) are sent back to Tyler UB upon completion of the work order.

Both integrations are made possible with the Velosimo iPaaS behind the scenes, which uses real-time events to transfer data between the two systems.

"Velosimo's integration connectors empower public sector organizations to operate more efficiently and effectively," said Kris Trujillo, CEO of Velosimo. "Our collaboration with the Village of Arlington Heights exemplifies our commitment to enhancing community services through seamless and real-time data integration. By streamlining the workflow between Tyler MyCivic, Cityworks AMS, and Tyler Munis Utility Billing, we're helping Arlington Heights provide modern, intuitive experiences for their residents. This partnership underscores our dedication to driving innovation and efficiency in the public sector."
